TVLL has a place for experienced Managers and Coaches,
as well as those just getting started.
Managers and Coaches are an integral component to the success of our League and play an important part in the development of our players. Be a part of that success!
For information on the application and selection process, as well as clinics and other training opportunities provided, please read below. Note: Some of the training opportunities identified below are open to all League parents, as well as designated Coaches. Attending these sessions could be a way to build your knowledge and get your coaching started on the right foot.
Step 1: Understand what is expected
Coaching in Little League Baseball can be a fun and rewarding experience, but you should know what to expect - and what is expected of you. Review the document below so that you understand the criteria used to evaluate Managers and Coaches, and how the selection process works.

Step 2: Apply
Whether or not you have coached in previous years, if you are interested in managing or coaching for the upcoming season, you must perform the following steps BEFORE your application can be considered for approval.
- Use the Online Coaching Application to let us know which Division you are interested in coaching and whether you are interested in participating as a Manager or Coach. (You will be prompted to login if you are not already.)
Completing this steps helps us to know how many applicants we have to meet the number of teams required for each Division.
In addition, coaching applicants can view the information we have received from you and what is still required.
- Complete the Online Volunteer Application (You will be prompted to login if you are not already.)
Little League requires that a background check be performed on all volunteers that interact with players on a regular basis and the information provided on that form will be used both to perform the background check and for evaluating coaching applicants. Note: Your social security number is required to perform the background check but it will not be stored in our system once we process your application.
Completing the volunteer application and selecting Manager and/or Coach in the Volunteer Area will also indicate your interest in coaching for the upcoming season.
- Complete the Manager/Coach Application
- Submit the Manager/Coach Application
Both of these are required in addition to the Online Volunteer Application in order to complete your application.
To submit via email, send to:

Step 3: Learn
Little League Baseball and TVLL combine to provide a number of training and learning opportunities throughout the year. They are paid for by Little League baseball and TVLL at no cost to you.
It is expected that the coaching staff will participate in these activities and continue to develop their skills throughout their coaching careers.
The following clinics and training opportunities are available to help you in your efforts.
2012 Big Al Baseball Clinic (aka Al & Al Mgrs - Coaches Clinic)
Over 1 MILLION Little League Coaches, Managers, players and parents have utilized this program since 1996.
World-renowned for 20-plus years of teaching baseball skills to coaches and players, Al and Al have teamed up with Little League Baseball to create the Little League Official Baseball Education Program for Managers and Coaches.
